Chair massage at work. A practical reset in the middle of the day.
Professional on-site chair massage for companies, international teams and events in Utrecht. Employees remain fully clothed, no oil is used and the treatment is easy to fit into a normal workday.
Sessions can be provided in English or Dutch. I bring the massage chair and adapt pressure and focus to the person sitting in front of me.
A focused upper-body massage on a specially designed chair.
The massage chair supports the head, chest and arms while the employee remains fully clothed. This gives me access to the areas that often feel loaded after desk work or long periods of concentration.
I usually work with the neck, shoulders, back, arms and hands. Pressure is adjusted to the individual, so one person can receive a calm session while another prefers firmer work.
No oil, towels, shower or changing room are needed. That is exactly why chair massage works so well inside a company.
Very little interruption. A real moment away from the screen.
Employees do not need to travel to a practice or block a large part of their day. They step away from their desk, sit down for a short session and continue their day afterwards.
For the company, the setup is equally simple. I bring the professional massage chair. You provide a quiet corner or room and a schedule.
Especially useful for bodies that spend a lot of time at a desk.
Chair massage is not a medical fix for every complaint. It is a practical form of bodywork for areas that often feel tense or tired during a working week.
Neck tension
For people who notice that the neck gradually becomes tighter during computer work or meetings.
Shoulders
Shoulders often carry a lot of static work. The chair gives direct access without undressing.
Upper back
A common area for stiffness after long periods of sitting, laptop work or concentrated tasks.
Arms and forearms
Useful for people who type, use a mouse or perform repetitive hand and arm tasks for much of the day.
Hands
Hands and forearms are easy to include and are often forgotten in standard neck and shoulder massage.
Mental overload
A short period without a screen, conversation or task can provide a welcome physical pause during a busy day.
Structured, but never mechanical.
Chair massage has a natural rhythm. I combine shiatsu-inspired pressure, classical massage techniques and rhythmic percussion, also called tapotement.
Tapotement is one of the techniques I use much more naturally on the massage chair than during a table treatment. It gives the session an active, clear finish.
The basic structure may be similar from one session to the next, but pressure and attention are adapted to each employee.
I bring my therapeutic experience into the chair.
My main work is complaint-focused massage therapy. That experience changes how I look at a shoulder, arm or neck that feels restricted.
A short chair massage is not the place for a full therapeutic investigation, but I can still notice patterns, adapt the treatment and tell someone when a complaint deserves more attention than a quick office massage.
Simple logistics from start to finish.
Tell me about your team
Location, approximate number of employees, preferred date and whether you are considering a one-off or recurring visit.
I bring the chair
You only need to provide a reasonably quiet space where employees can step away from their work for a moment.
Employees rotate through
Sessions are usually 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the schedule and the goal of the day.
Back to the workday
No oil and no change of clothes means there is very little practical transition before or after the session.
Your employees do not need to speak Dutch.
Intake, explanation and the complete chair massage can be provided in English. This makes the service easy to use for international teams and mixed-language workplaces.
Employees only need to tell me what they notice, whether there is anything I should avoid and how much pressure feels comfortable.
English and Dutch communication.
Suitable for offices, team days and corporate events.
Employees remain fully clothed.
No oil and minimal preparation.
Pressure and focus adjusted per employee.
Professional business invoice available.
Not much.
Chair massage is intentionally easy to organise. A small amount of planning makes the day run smoothly.
A quiet room or calm corner with enough space for the massage chair.
A simple employee schedule or internal booking list.
Enough time between arrival and the first session to set up calmly.
Information about parking, building access and your contact person on site.
For larger teams, events or recurring visits, send me the basic details first. I can then propose a practical format.
From one office day to a recurring programme.
A simple wellbeing service that employees can use without leaving the workplace.
English communication makes the session accessible to employees from different countries.
Chair massage works well as a compact physical break during a longer programme or event.
Useful for people spending much of the day with laptops, monitors, meetings and repetitive mouse work.
Companies can also arrange repeated chair massage days rather than a single event.
The format can be adjusted to the number of employees and the time available.
A chair massage is still a real massage.
Before each session I briefly check whether there are health circumstances that mean an area should not be treated or that massage is not appropriate that day.
Acute injury, fever, certain infections, unexplained severe symptoms or significant neurological changes may require medical assessment instead.
When massage may not be appropriate →Experienced hands, even in a short session.
I am an HBO-trained massage therapist, VBAG member and RBCZ registered practitioner. My daily work involves complaint-focused bodywork in my practice in Utrecht Leidsche Rijn.
For corporate chair massage I keep the format practical and accessible, while bringing the same attention to pressure, movement and individual response.

Can you provide chair massage entirely in English?
Yes. Intake, instructions and the massage itself can be handled in English. Dutch is of course also possible, so mixed-language teams are no problem.
Do employees need to change clothes?
No. Chair massage is provided over normal clothing and no oil is used. A jacket, thick jumper or bulky items may be removed if the employee is comfortable doing so, but there is no need to undress.
How long is one chair massage?
The format is usually between 15 and 30 minutes per person. The best duration depends on the number of employees, the available time and the purpose of the day.
Which areas do you massage?
The main focus is usually neck, shoulders, back, arms and hands. The exact emphasis is adapted to the employee and any areas that should be avoided.
How much space do you need?
A small meeting room or calm office corner is usually sufficient. I bring the massage chair. The space mainly needs to allow me to move around the chair safely.
Can we book recurring chair massage days?
Yes. Chair massage can be organised as a one-off team activity or as a recurring workplace service. Send me your team size and preferred frequency and we can look at a practical format.
Can chair massage treat RSI, migraines or other medical conditions?
I do not present chair massage as a cure for medical conditions. It can be useful for perceived muscle tension and stiffness, and my therapeutic background helps me recognise when a complaint may need a different type of assessment or treatment.
Bring the massage to the workday instead of sending the workday to the massage.
